Palazzo Bassi, dating back to the 1800′s  and home to the NAVONA SUITES was the residence of noted Philosopher Antonio Labriola  toward the end of the 1800′s . A placque stating this is found near the principal entrance.  The Palazzo erected between  1886 and 1887 by Architect Giulio Podesti for the Bassi Family  is decorated with rich finishings on the front facade while the sides are decorated with arches and columns.  Palazzo Bassi is located in the heart of the Rione Ponte (bridge quarter) taken from the famous and nearby Ponte Sant’Angelo constructed in 134 by Emperor Hadrian and connects Navona Suites with the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo via a pleasant walk.
